I jet off under mild rains at 5am to meet the guys at Shell-Marcos Highway in Marikina for a ride to Marilaque. To some twist of fate, at 5.45am, I read a text message sent at 5.15am saying that the ride was canceled due to the precipitation...I was at the rendezvous point.
I had to push through...and I did.
I decided to traverse the highway and follow the road marker to the 100th-kilometer mark...but the paved road ended at around 85--the end of Marcos Highway.
The sky had cleared on the way back...and I read a text message from the club president saying that they would push through. Unfortunately, I could not reply...I was at a network dead spot.
But, regardless...it was one sweet (and wet) ride that I enjoyed anyway.
